Assistant Professor Fleur Tjong

Dr Fleur V.Y. Tjong, MD, PhD, FESC, FEHRA, is a cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Digital Cardiology and AI at Amsterdam UMC, appointed in July 2025. She leads the Tjong Lab within the Amsterdam Center for Computational Cardiology. She obtained her MD cum laude and PhD at the University of Amsterdam. Her research combines electrophysiology and multimodal AI to predict arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford since July 2026 and Scientific Chair at IHU Liryc, Bordeaux, since January 2027. She chairs the ESC Digital Cardiology and AI Curriculum Task Force (since 2025) and AI Gateway Education group (since 2026), serves on the ESC Education Committee (since 2026), and co-chairs the EHRA Digital and AI Committee (since 2020).
