Biography
I am a cardiologist and physician-scientist at Juntendo University. My work focuses on multimodal cardiovascular imaging, such as PET, SPECT, MRI, and CT, to better understand coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. My interest in imaging began during my early training when I realized that noninvasive techniques could reveal not only anatomy, but also underlying disease mechanisms. Since then, I have pursued clinical and translational research in Japan and the United States to develop more precise, patient-centered diagnostic strategies. Education is equally important to me. I actively mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, guiding them in clinical reasoning, imaging interpretation, and scientific writing. Many of my mentees have published their first papers, one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. At Juntendo University, I value a collaborative and curiosity-driven learning environment. I hope to inspire the next generation of physician-scientists.
