Sylwia Iwańczyk graduated from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland in 2014 and then completed a six-year general cardiology training at the 1st Cardiology Clinic in Poznan. Moreover, she finished training as an interventional cardiologist in 2020. In 2021, she obtained the title of doctor of medical science and is currently an academic teacher. Interventional cardiology has become her passion and a source of professional challenges. Her special interests are complex coronary interventions, coronary physiology and imaging, as well as the assessment of microvascular dysfunction. Currently, she is conducting numerous research projects, e.g. assessing microcirculation dysfunction in patients with coronary artery aneurysms, after oncological therapy or heart transplants. She collaborates with numerous cardiology centers in Poland, and recently also abroad (Italy, Germany).
