After training as a medical doctor at the University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece, Dr Michas completed a Master's and a Doctorate in Molecular Medicine. He has a sound training in cardiovascular research and epidemiology, and was involved in both experimental and large-scale epidemiological studies. In 2017, he received his Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, UK. In 2019, he completed the Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure (PCHF) which is an official course of the European Heart Academy and Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology and the University of Zurich leading to a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Heart Failure from the University of Zurich. In 2020, he completed his Cardiology specialty training and he is currently running his private practice in Athens, Greece.
