Dr. George Michas is a Consultant Cardiologist, PhD graduate of the University of Crete, and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), specializing in Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Cardiometabolic Risk Reduction. He serves as Scientific and Clinical Associate at the Cardiology Department of "Evaggelismos" General Hospital of Athens and as Medical Director of the Cardio Health private practice. He holds a PGCert in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and advanced certification in Heart Failure from the University of Zurich (ESC/HFA), with European accreditation in echocardiography (EACVI). Dr. Michas has authored >70 peer-reviewed publications, served as Medical Coordinator of the Hellenic National Nutrition and Health Survey, and received research training at Harvard Medical School. His work focuses on integrating preventive cardiology with public health policy and academic medicine to improve population health outcomes.
