Doctor Arie van Dijk

After finishing Medical School at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, NL, Arie van Dijk moved to the department of Pediatric Cardiology (Head Prof. O. Daniëls) at the Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands to achieve his PhD-degree on his thesis "The determination of pulmonary hypertension in children with congenital heart disease" in 1996. In the same year he started specialist-training in adult cardiology and from 2001 is appointed staff member at the department of Cardiology of the same hospital. He is currently the director of the Cardiology training program and is responsible for the adult congenital heart disease program at the location Radboudumc of the Academic Center for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (consisting of locations ErasmusMC and Radboudumc) and for the Radboudumc Expert Center on Pulmonary Hypertension. He is especially interested in cardiac imaging, adult congenital heart disease and physiology of the pulmonary circulation and right ventricle.
