Biography
Dr. Harsha Devalla obtained her PhD from Leiden University Medical Center, where she developed and applied human iPSC-based cardiac models for disease modelling and drug screening. She is currently a Group Leader at Amsterdam University Medical Center, where her research focuses on the fundamental mechanisms underlying heart development, function, and disease, with particular emphasis on the cellular and molecular regulation of cardiac rhythm. Her group uses cell differentiation and tissue engineering approaches to generate human iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte subtypes and integrated tissue models for studying both physiological and pathological processes.
