Professor Thomas Jespersen

Thomas Jespersen is dedicated to translating mechanistic understanding into a Physiology context and Clinical relevance. His research centers around large animal models and human samples applying numerous biochemical and cellular methodologies to in vivo EP mapping and MRI. Focus is on AF, VF/VT, heart failure, lifestyle factors, cardiac fibroses and fat, pharmacology and ablation modalities. Dr. Jespersen is spearheading training and educatiion of Early-Stage Researchers within the Cardiovascular domain in Denmark, both as the Director of the Danish Cardiovascular Academy and as Head of the Cardiovascular Research Programme for PhD students at University of Copenhagen.
