Marco Guazzi is a Full Professor of Cardiology at the University of Milano and Head of Heart Failure Unit in the Cardiology Division at I.R.C.C.S. San Donato University Hospital, Milano, Italy. His research focuses on the strategies by which heart failure therapies should be tailored to hemodynamic profiles and cardiopulmonary responses during exercise and the pathogenetic mechanisms and clinical correlates of pulmonary hypertension in heart failure patients. He has established several clinical research programmes into heart failure evaluation and therapy and pulmonary vascular disease. Between 2017 and 2019 he serves as Treasurer of the EACP Board of the ESC. He has been co-author of several Consensus Documents and Guidelines by the European Society of Cardiology and American Heart Association.
