Doctor Panithaya Chareonthaitawee

Dr. Chareonthaitawee is the President of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and a past president of the Cardiovascular Council of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. She is the current Deputy Editor of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology and past associate editor of Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging. She serves as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and Education Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. She is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her MD from Northwestern University. Dr. Chareonthaitawee completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowships at Mayo Clinic. She was an advanced fellow in cardiac PET imaging at the MRC Cyclotron Unit, Imperial College School of Medicine, London, United Kingdom.
