Doctor Joao Jose Primo

Cardiologist since January of 1995. Since 1990 is working in Cardiac Pacing, Clinical Arrhythmology and none invasive Electrophysiology. Between 1996 and 1997, he was working in OLV Hospital-Cardiovascular Centre of Aalst in Belgium with Prof Pedro Brugada, in Electrophysiology, Clinical Arrhythmology and Implantable Cardio-Defibrillators. Developed his clinical activity in Gaia Hospital (Oporto). He built the EP lab and began the implantation of ICD’s in 1997 and is since then, the responsible of the Centre, one of the most profitable EP Lab of Portugal in number of patients and complexity of cases (400 ablations per year). Is also the responsible doctor of the Senhora da Oliveira Hospital EP lab in Guimarães and de EP lab of S.Teotónio Hospital in Viseu since 2015 Is member of the College of Cardiac Electrophysiology of the Medical Portuguese Board. He was the President (2009-2011) of the Portuguese Association of Arrhytmology, Pacing e Electrophysiology (APAPE).
