Dariusz Dudek is a Professor of Institute of Cardiology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He obtained his degree in medicine from the Jagiellonian University, but also trained at medical institutes abroad, including European and USA centers
Professor Dudek’s key areas of research are acute myocardial infarction, antiplatelet and antithrombotic drugs and complex PCI. In 2008 in Krakow he started 1st TAVI procedure in Poland. He is experienced in percutaneous valve interventions. He has contributed extensively to the scientific literature within those fields with several hundred scientific articles and IF >1000.
His work has been widely recognised and honoured with several awards, including the Polish Prime Minister Awards, the Minister of Health Award for achievements in cardiology and outstanding scientific activity and the Polish Academy of Sciences.
