Doctor Gerardus Van Hout

Gerardus (Geert) van Hout is a heart failure cardiologist at St. Antonius Hospital in the Netherlands. He holds a PhD in experimental cardiology and completed a fellowship in advanced heart failure (UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands). His clinical and research interests include acute and advanced heart failure, remote monitoring and the organisation of heart failure care. He chairs the Working Group on Heart Failure of the Netherlands Society of Cardiology and serves as Medical Lead for Heart Failure within Zorg bij Jou, a national initiative for digitally supported care. His work focuses on integrating remote monitoring into clinical practice and evaluating its effectiveness to improve care for patients with heart failure.
