Andreas Kalogeropoulos, MD MPH PhD FACC FHFSA FASE, is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Stony Brook University, NY. He is a clinical and outcomes researcher with focus on heart failure, echocardiography, and research methodology. Dr. Kalogeropoulos received his MD (1994) and trained in cardiovascular medicine (2004) at the University of Patras, Greece. He trained in echocardiography and heart failure at Emory University (Atlanta, GA), where he joined faculty in 2010 and received his MPH in 2013. Dr. Kalogeropoulos has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and 3 book chapters. He has received research support from the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, and the American Society of Echocardiography, among others, for his work on heart failure and echocardiography. He has served on the Research Committees of the Heart Failure Society of America (Chair), the American Society of Echocardiography, and the National Cardiovascular Data Registry.
