Biography
Maria Chiara Gatto is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Sant’Eugenio Hospital with expertise in cardiac pacing, CIED implantation and follow-up, electrophysiology, acute cardiovascular care, advanced echocardiography, telemedicine and digital cardiology. She has performed over 800 pacemaker and defibrillator implantation procedures. Her clinical interests include CIED management, remote monitoring, infection prevention, infective endocarditis and endovascular infections, as well as non-pharmacological therapies for heart failure, including CRT and advanced device-based treatments. Fellow of the ESC and ANMCO, and Nucleus Member of the ESC Working Group on e-Cardiology, she is committed to clinical research, having served as principal investigator and sub-investigator in national and international studies, multicentre registries and projects on advanced cardiac devices, heart failure, cardiovascular prevention, infectious diseases and digital innovation in cardiology
