Doctor Rafael de la Espriella

Dr. Rafael de la Espriella, MD, PhD, FESC is a Heart Failure specialist at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, where he works in the Heart Failure Clinic and serves as Coordinator of the Cardiorenal Unit. His clinical and research activity focuses primarily on heart failure, biomarkers, and the cardiorenal syndrome. He earned his PhD from the University of Valencia, receiving the Extraordinary Doctoral Award. At the professional society level, he served as Treasurer of the Valencian Society of Cardiology (2022–2024 and 2026-2028), is currently Coordinator of the Cardiorenal Working Group of the Heart Failure Association of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, and is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology in the Imaging and Biomarkers domain (2024–2026).
