Biography
Prof. Massimo Chessa, President of the Italian Society of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology, was born in July 1967 in Italy. He is a specialist in Cardiology and in Pediatric; for around 30 years he is dealing with the treatment of Congenital Heart Disease in children, teenagers, and adults. Since 2000 he works at IRCCS-Policlinico San Donato, where is the Head of the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Disease UNIT and Cath Lab. He is Associate Professor of Cardiology at Vita Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. He works mainly as an interventional cardiologist. He is the author of several scientific publications. He's the Founder of the Italian ACHD/GUCH Association. He is the Representative of his Centre for the European Reference Network (ERN-HEART GURD).
