Professor Liubov Anatolievna Shpagina

Liubov Shpagina is a professor and a head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Novosibirsk State Medical University. She also serves as head doctor of Novosibirsk City Clinical Hospital 2. She qualified from Novosibirsk State Medical University and get MD degree in 1980, get a doctor of medical science degree in 1996. She was elected as a professor of the Department of Internal Medicine of Novosibirsk State Medical University in 1994 and in 2001 became a head of the Department. Professor Shpagina has a major interest in mechanisms, clinical course and biomarkers of comorbidities of heart and lung diseases as well as in occupational medicine and now she is one of the leading researchers in Russia in this field. She is a member of Russian Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, Russian Respiratory Society, European Respiratory Society, Russian Occupational Health Physicians and Specialists Association and International Commission on Occupational Health.
