Biography
Pedro Marques-Vidal came to life in 1962 in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. He obtained his MD and PhD at the Toulouse II University in France. He was professor of Nutrition and Public Health at the medical faculty of Lisbon and is currently Associate Professor at the University of Lausanne, working at the department of Internal Medicine of the Lausanne University Hospital. He has a background in biochemistry, medicine and statistics. His main interests are the distribution, determinants and effects of cardiovascular risk factors in the population. He has a transversal knowledge on nutrition, epidemiology, data management, statistics and medicine, allowing him to collaborate with a variety of research groups. He is a fellow and nutritional expert of the ESC. He has published over 350 papers on cardiovascular epidemiology. For more details, his ORCID number is 0000-0002-4548-8500
