Biography
Professor Suzuki is Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Leicester. He is a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospitals
of Leicester NHS Trust and practices at Glenfield Hospital which is one of the UK’s main cardiac specialist hospitals. He has contributed to defining and delivering contemporary care for patients with aortic disease and current understanding of aortic disease through clinical, translational and mechanistic research. He has also led research in deciphering the contribution of the gut microbiome to risk of cardiovascular diseases (e.g. heart failure, coronary artery disease). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
