Biography
Dr Barman holds a professional doctorate in Medicine with more than 20 years of healthcare service delivery experience. He is a graduate from London School of Economics in Health Outcomes and Management. As a physician in HMC and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine at Qatar, his focus areas besides medical practice, academic teaching and clinical research are Health system analytics, Service Quality Improvement and Change Implementation. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, UK, American Heart Association, USA and European Society of Cardiology. He also serves as a special international advisor to the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh Digital steering group (adhoc) which aims to promote digitization, integrated healthcare and lead a paradigm shift towards patient centered healthcare delivery. He advocates developing and motivating skilled professionals committed to cost-effective management of resources and quality performance.
