Dr Pei Gee Chew is a Consultant Cardiologist at Lancashire Cardiac Centre, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. She graduated from the University of Liverpool with an MBChB(Honours) and subsequently attained her MRCP(UK) in 2013. Her passion in medical education spurred her on to complete the AFHEA accreditation in 2014. She was then enrolled into the cardiology specialty training programme and has completed her BSE (transthoracic & transoesophageal) accreditations. Dr Chew was awarded the Clinical Research fellowship in CMR (2016-2018) where her research focused on "The investigation of mitral regurgitation with cardiac MRI". She underwent comprehensive training in Cardiac MRI at Leeds and have successfully completed her EACVI CMR Level 3 certification. Her research projects are funded by the British Heart Foundation and her work led to a postgraduate MD degree. Additionally, Dr Chew has published peer-reviewed papers and has presented her work at both national and international conferences.
