Biography
Gian Paolo Fadini is Full Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Padova and Director of the Division of Metabolic Diseases and Diabetology of the University Hospital of Padova. Dr. Fadini is also the PI of the Laboratory of Experimental Diabetology at the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine. Dr. Fadini’s teaching activity is directed to students of the M.D. course in Medicine and Surgery and of the Specialty course in Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Fadini research activities are devoted to the study of chronic vascular diabetic complications, stem cells in diabetes, angiogenesis, atherosclerosis, vascular calcification, vascular regeneration, wound healing, metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance, oxidative stress, acute diabetic complications, longevity gene pathways in metabolic diseases.
