Professor Marc Michael Vorpahl

Professor Marc Vorpahl is chief physician of cardiology and angiology at the Heart Center in the Helios Clinic Siegburg. He was appointed as the first chief physician for structural heart diseases in Germany 2021-23 at the Heart Center at Helios University Hospital in Wuppertal. He is an interventional cardiologist with proven expertise in the treatment of shock patients and structural heart disease. As a “clinician scientist” he has broad scientific training in the areas of basic research, preclinical research and clinical research and is involved in a large number of (inter)national studies. Heis a father of two sons he enjoys the work of early Dutch painters, garden design and goes on bike rides with his wife.
