Associate Professor Orsolya Kiss

Semmelweis University Heart and Vascular Center, Budapest (Hungary)

Orsolya Kiss M.D., Ph.D. graduated at Semmelweis University of Medicine, Budapest in 1997 with “summa cum laude”qualification. She obtained Ph.D. degree in the topic „Experimental and clinical investigation of the arrhythmogenic and anti-arrhythmic effects of agents lengthening cardiac repolarization” in 2005. She became a Specialist in Cardiology and an Assistant Lecturer in 2011, an Assistant Professor in 2015, a Specialist in Sports Medicine in 2019, and an Associate Professor in 2021. She has been working at Semmelweis University Heart and Vascular Center, Budapest, Hungary since her graduation. As a clinician, she works as a Sports Cardiology Section Leader and she also acts as a Hungarian Educational Secretary. Cardiac sport adaptation, athlete screening and stress physiology follow up as well as electrocardiography and arrhythmias are the main fields of her scientific interest.
