Dr Cannata is currently a specialist and research associate in the Heart Failure department at the King’s College Hospital – King’s College London. He trained in Italy, under the lead of Prof Gianfranco Sinagra and then moved to London under the lead of Prof Theresa McDonagh. He is also visiting Scientist at the Cardiovascular Department of the University of Trieste. Dr Cannata interests are in Heart failure and, specifically, in Cardiomyopathies. His research projects focus on natural history and contemporary survival trends of Dilated Cardiomyopathy, the role of genetic testing, the prognostic impact of sex and the importance of arrhythmic risk stratification. Dr Cannata is member of the HFA HoT Committee for the mandate 2020-2022 and treasurer for the Triveneto Section of the Italian Society of Cardiology. Dr Cannata serves as a reviewer for the European Heart Journal and European Journal of Heart Failure, and as associate editor of PLOS One and BMC CV disorders.
