Biography
Jesus Alvarez-Garcia is a native of Cáceres,Spain. He attended University of Salamanca where he received his MD. He completed residency training at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona, Spain) and PhD at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2015, he joined the faculty of Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplant of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. In 2019, he did a Postdoctoral Fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplant at Mount Sinai Hospital (NY, USA). Currently, he is the head of Hearty Failure Department at University Hospital Ramon y Cajal (Madrid, Spain). Dr. Alvarez-Garcia is an active researcher at CIBERCV (Center for Biomedical Research in Cardiovascular Diseases Network). He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Heart Failure Association (HFA), and Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC). He is a member of the International Society of Electrocardiology-YC, SoMe Editor of JACC in Spanish, and Associate Editor of Journal of Cardiac Failure.
