Biography
Dr V Kamperidis is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the Medical School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, specialized in cardiac imaging. He has been awarded a MSc in Echocardiography from Imperial College London and 2 PhDs, 1 from Aristotle University Thessaloniki on transcatheter treatment of aortic stenosis and 1 from the Leiden University, The Netherlands on valvular heart disease study with advanced echo and cardiac CT. He sub-specialized in cardiac imaging in London under Prof P Nihoyannopoulos and Prof R Senior (echo) and in Leiden under Prof J Bax and Dr V Delgado (multimodality). He holds all 3 ESC accreditations of echo (TTE, TEE, Congenital) and SCCT level 3 accreditation. He has been awarded an ESC and an EACVI grant for his research in LUMC. He is the author of >110 cardiology papers (h-index 30), has presented his research results in >90 congresses, and has been invited as a speaker in >70 cardiology congresses. He has been announced FESC and FEACVI.
