Born in 1954, Medical school in Univ of Bergen, Norway 1978. Certified cardiologist since 1993. PhD 1997 on a thesis concerning stenting if chronic coronary occlusions. Since 1997 Working in own cardiology practice in MOss, Norway. Main interests are general cardiology with a special focus on echocardiography, atrial fibrillation, and other arrhythmias, chronic angina, exercise testing, CPET/CPX, preventive cardiology, heart failure management. Former leader of ESC council of cardiology practice. Member ESC guidelines committee 2008-2014. Member ESC education committee 2012-2018.
