Biography
Prof. Gerber has obtained his M.D. and cardiology specialization at the UCLouvain (Brussels, BE) and performed a 3 years post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) He subspecialized in non-invasive cardiac imaging, and in particular, echocardiography, cardiac CMR, cardiac CT and nuclear imaging and obtained a PhD in 2000 He currently works at the Cliniques Universitaires St. Luc, UCLouvain, Brussels Belgium ant is involved in multimodality cardiac imaging using different imaging modalities including echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear imaging and particular cardiac MR. He was Chair of the CMR section and Vice-President of the EACVI from 2020 until 2022 and president of the Belgian Society of Cardiology (bscardio.be) from 2022 until 2024 He will become the Editor in Chief of European Heart Journal Cardiovascular Imaging in January 2025.
