Biography
Aldo Maggioni received his medical degree from the Milan University and performed the cardiology residency at the Padua University. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the GISSI studies and Director of the ANMCO Research Center in Florence. Since 2010, he is Scientific Coordinator of the EURObservational Research program of the European Society of Cardiology. He served as a member of Executive/Steering Committees, Event Evaluation Committees, Data Monitoring Committees of more than 60 controlled clinical studies conducted in the cardiovascular and metabolic areas. He is author of more than 500 peer-reviewed papers and included in the list of highly cited researchers over the last 15 years (2003-2017) by Thomson Reuters.
