Ivan Stanković, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine (Cardiology) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and Head of the Cardiology Department at the University Hospital Center Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Belgrade and earned a Master’s degree in Advanced Cardiac Imaging from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He completed his PhD at the University of Belgrade, focusing on cardiac resynchronization therapy and long-term outcomes in patients with heart failure. He is a former President of the Echocardiographic Society of Serbia, served two terms as Deputy Chair of the EACVI Scientific Documents Committee, and held the position of Co-Chair from 2022 to 2024. He currently serves as President of the Working Group on Cardiovascular Imaging of the Cardiology Society of Serbia. His research interests include cardiovascular imaging, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.
