Professor Iris Baumgartner

Curriculum Vitae Iris Baumgartner is professor for Internal Medicine and Vascular Medicine. Her research interst is in endovascular therapy, congenital vascular malformation and precision medicine with translation to vascular medicine. She graduated in human medicine at the University of Hannover, Germany, in 1986 and was trained at the University Hospital Zurich (Switzerland), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Bern (Switzerland) between 1987-94 followed by research fellowships joining the groups of Professor Th. Lüscher (Bern, Switzerland, 1996) and Professor JM. Isner (Boston, USA, 1996/97). Since 2006, she is Director of the Division Angiology, Swiss Cardiovascular Center, at the Inselspital, University Hospital Bern and since 2012 Vice-Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University Bern. Iris Baumgartner is member of various Editorial Boards (JACC, EHJ). She has published 297 articles and here h-index is 43 for a total number of 16’612 citations overall. Iris Baumgartner, 1.8.2019
