Biography
Dr Golnaz Houshmand, MD, FSCMR, is a clinical cardiologist with expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging, associate professor of cardiology, and the head of the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Center at Rajaie Cardiovascular Institute. She completed an advanced echocardiography fellowship at Rajaie in 2016–2017, focusing on transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) and stress echocardiography. In 2017, she undertook further training in three-dimensional echocardiography as a visiting fellow at King’s College Hospital in London. After completing her CMR fellowship at Royal Brompton Hospital in London in 2018, she returned to Rajaie as CMR lead. Since then, she has beactively involved in training fellows in CMR and cardiac CT through a dedicated, structured fellowship programme and clinial reporting of CMR and cardic CT. Her research focuses on valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, myocarditis and coronary artery diseases.
