Professor Jens-Uwe Voigt

JU Voigt is cardiologist and professor at the University of Leuven, Belgium leading the echocardiography lab of the Univ. Hospitals and an imaging research group with international fellows and PhD students. He has contributed significantly to the field of myocardial function imaging, such as strain echocardiography and focusses currently on clinical applications of high frame rate echocardiography, such as shear wave elastography. JUV has published around 300 papers in pear reviewed international journals and is author and co-author of several echocardiographic text books and international recommendation papers. H-Index 66, 43000 citations (publication list). He is PI and core lab leader several multicenter trials. JUV is in the Editorial Board of several international Journals. He has been actively involved in the Board of the EACVI as chair, committee member and in the Task Force for Standardization of Strain Imaging.
