Dr. Carrero graduated in 2006 from the University of Buenos Aires with an Award Summa cum Laude. After that, she performed the cardiology residence at Hospital Italiano of Buenos Aires (HIBA). She was chief of residents and completed a 2-year fellowship on cardiovascular imaging at the same institution. Since 2014, she is the Director of the Echocardiography department at Sanatorio Las Lomas, Buenos Aires (Argentina). She also has completed a postgraduated course on MRI and Cardiac-CT at the Argentine Society of Cardiology. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in bicuspid aortic valve at University of HIBA. She has also been responsible for the education and training of the Fellows in the field of Echocardiography, CMR and CT. She is an active fellow of the SAC and has directed the national registry of aortic dimensions (MATEAR). She has also been responsible in all research projects on CV imaging, publishing several papers. She speaks english, french and spanish.
