Biography
Kurt Huber, MD, FESC, FACC, FAHA, is Vice Dean of Research and Professor for Acute and Interventional Cardiology at the Sigmund Freud University, Medical Faculty, Vienna, Austria, is an interventional cardiologist with over 40 years of experience. He was head of a department of cardiology and intensive care medicine in Vienna until end of 2023. Hisr esearch interests cover basic research (thrombus formation and dissolution) as well as clinical and translational research (ACS, organization of STEMI networks, antithrombotic therapy in CV diseases, cardiogenic shock). He has to date performed more than 120 international clinical trials mainly as national coordinator and steering committee member, has published over 950 peer reviewed papers, his Hirsh factor is 111 (Thomson Reuters), his life IF > 4500, he has organized > 250 national and international conference, and has been listed annually since 2015 among the top 0,1% of the most cited researchers in Clinical Medicine (Clarivate).
