Doctor Gill Louise Buchanan

Dr Louise Buchanan, MBChB, MSc, MD, FRCP(UK) is a Consultant Cardiologist and Associate Medical Director at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. She is also currently the Treasurer for the European Association of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (EAPCI), following a term as Chair of the EAPCI Women Committee. Her research interests have focussed on the differences between men and women in heart disease with an aim to reduce inequalities in diagnosis and treatment. She also works to promote women as professionals within the field of interventional cardiology and has completed the Women Transforming Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford.
