Dr. Akhil Kumar Sharma, DM, FSCAI, FAPSIC Professor, Department of Cardiology King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, India Dr. Akhil Kumar Sharma is a Professor of Cardiology at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, India, and an accomplished interventional cardiologist, clinical investigator, and academic educator with more than 12 years of experience in interventional cardiology. His professional career is characterised by a sustained commitment to complex coronary intervention, structural and congenital heart disease, cardiovascular imaging and physiology, clinical research, and advanced procedural education. He has extensive experience in coronary, structural, pacing, and congenital interventions, with a procedural experience exceeding 10,000 cardiovascular interventions. Dr. Sharma completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from M.L.B. Medical College, Jhansi, and subsequently obtained his DM in Cardiology from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, in 2014.
