Associate Professor Beth Lynn Abramson

Beth L Abramson MD, is the Paul Albrechtsen Chair in Cardiology at University of Toronto, in the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital, focusing on Preventive Cardiology and Women’s CV Health. Her interest is in knowledge translation, including writing guidelines to educate physicians on preventive cardiology and women’s health issues. She has co-chaired Canadian guidelines on PAD, as well as Menopause and Cardiovascular Disease. She developed and has directed a fellowship in Preventive Cardiology for over a decade. She has been on the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Prevention Council, is on the ACC Hypertension working group, and volunteers as a spokesperson for the ACC Media relations. She is a founding member of the Canadian Society of Vascular Medicine and Prevention (CSVMP). She currently on the senior editorial board for the EJPC.
