Doctor Sotirios Xydonas

Dr. Sotirios Xydonas MD, Ph.D., FESC, FHFA is a Consultant Cardiologist and Director of 2nd Cardiology Department at Evaggelismos General Hospital in Athens, Greece. He has a special interest in Electrophysiology and Device therapy and Heart Failure. Dr. Xydonas took his consultant post in 2007. He initially worked in the Transplant Unit, Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK. He has a special interest in Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, Conduction System Pacing, Atrial Fibrillation ablation and he is actively involved in the Ventricular Assist Device Programme of his hospital. He is a member of the Working Group of Electrophysiology and Pacing (Hellenic Cardiology Society), has many publications in peer-reviewed journals and has taken part in many multicenter studies.
