Associate Professor Miroslaw Kowalski

He became a physician in 1987, a specialist in general medicine 1997, a cardiologist in 1999, a master of medical imaging 2001. He received a PhD degree 2004 – PhD (Strain/Strain Rate Imaging – new perspectives of echocardiography), 2016 – The title of a Professor granted by the President of the Republic of Poland. He has fulfiled important roles and positions: The Section Editor (Noninvasive Diagnosis) of the Polish Journal of Cardiology, Treasurer of the Working Group (Echocardiography) of the Polish Cardiac Society, Head of a Commission in the Ministry of Science, Assistant Professor and Professor in the Department of Congenital Cardiac Defects, Head of the Department of Congenital Heart Defects in the National Institute of Cardiology. He has been the lecturer and head of medical courses on echocardiography. He is a graduate of a school of music, a traveller and reportage writer, the author of a photo exhibition Iran at a quiet glance, the author of the book Secrets of the Sahel.
