Dr Andre Briosa e Gala graduated from Charles University of Prague in 2011. He completed his Foundation and Core Medical Training in the Oxford Deanery, attaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2015. In 2016, he started his general cardiology training in the University Hospital of Southampton (UK)and he is a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (IBHRE). He is currently an Electrophysiology Research Fellow at the Oxford University Hospitals working with Prof Tim Betts' Cardiac Rhythm Management Group. His main research interest is atrial fibrillation, wearable devices and digital medicine and he has been awarded a Heart Research UK Novel Emerging Technologies Grant for the SMART-ALERT study.
