Biography
Dr David Žižek is a Consultant Cardiologist and Assistant Professor at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is the head of the Cardiac electro-stimulation programme in the Cardiology department. He is a member of the Working Group on cardiac stimulation and electrophysiology of the Slovenian Society of Cardiology and the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). Dr Žižek is also an EHRA Certified Cardiac Device Specialist, Level 1 and 2. In 2026, he became a Fellow of the European Heart Rhythm Association (FEHRA). His research primarily focuses on conduction system pacing, ventricular arrhythmias, and heart failure. He serves as an international proctor for all major conduction system pacing techniques, including His bundle pacing, left bundle branch pacing, and Bachmann’s bundle pacing. He is a proud father and a husband with an open mind, keen on living a full life.
