Giulio Stefanini was born in Rome, where he studied Medicine and finalized his training in Cardiology at Sapienza University. In 2010 he moved to Bern University Hospital for a clinical research fellowship supported by a grant of the EAPCI. In 2012 he was awarded a competitive 3-year research support under the SPUM program of the Swiss National Science Foundation, supporting his position at Bern University Hospital. Since 2015 he is based in Milan where he works as Interventional Cardiologist, serves as Head of Clinical Research of the Cardio Center at Humanitas Research Hospital, and holds a position as Associate Professor of Cardiology at Humanitas University. He has completed a MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes & Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the London School of Economics (LSE), supported by a ESC scholarship. His research is currently funded by competitive grants from the Italian Ministry of Health (Ricerca Finalizzata) and the Italian Ministry of Education (PRIN).
