Giulio Stefanini was born in Rome, where he studied Medicine and trained in Cardiology at Sapienza University. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Bern University Hospital (Bern, CH) supported by a grant of the EAPCI and a competitive grant under the Special Program University Medicine program (SPUM) of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). He also has a PhD in Experimental Medicine at University of Rome Tor Vergata (Rome, IT), and a MSc in Health Economics and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (London, UK). He currently holds a professorship at Humanitas University and works as clinical and interventional cardiologist at Humanitas Research Hospital (Milan, IT), where he also serves as Head of linical research of the Cardio Center. His research is currently funded by competitive grants obtained from the Italian Ministry of Health and the Italian Ministry of Research.
