Biography
Giulio Stefanini trained in cardiology in Rome (IT) and completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Bern University Hospital (CH) supported by competitive grants from the EAPCI and the SNSF (SPUM Program). He obtained a PhD in Experimental Medicine at University of Rome Tor Vergata (Rome, IT) and a MSc in Health Economics and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the LSE (London, UK) supported by a ESC scholarship. He is Professor of Cardiology at Humanitas University and practices as clinical and interventional cardiologist at Humanitas Research Hospital (Milan, IT), where he serves as Head of Clinical Research of the Cardio Center. His research is funded by the ERA4Health Partnership, the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) and the Italian Ministries of Health and Research. He has been an Executive Group Member of the ESC SDoC (2022-26), Chair of the EAPCI Scientific Documents (2022-24) and Research (2024-26) Committees, and is currently EAPCI President elect (2026-28).
