Dr Amardeep Dastidar is a consultant interventional cardiologist at North Bristol Trust and Bristol Heart Institute, Bristol UK. His specialist training in cardiology was undertaken in the Severn Deanery. After core cardiology training, he undertook a period of out of programme research studying the novel diagnostic role of CMR in acute coronary syndrome, culminating in the award of a PhD from University of Bristol. He has >100 publications in high impact journals and won multiple international and national young investigator awards. His sub-specialist cardiology training in coronary intervention was undertaken in the South West of UK. He is the deputy editor(competitions) for EHJ – Case Reports, and reviewer for various cardiology journals. He is actively involved in research and an investigator for various research studies. His specialist interests include complex coronary intervention, coronary artery disease, MINOCA, out of hospital cardiac arrest, cardiomyopathy and CMR.
