Doctor Eduardo Celentano

Eduardo Celentano, MD, FACC, FHRS, directs the Electrophysiology Unit at Humanitas Gavazzeni, Bergamo, Italy. He performs catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, including persistent forms, staged hybrid ablation, ablation of complex ventricular tachycardia (with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support in selected high-risk patients), device therapy including conduction system pacing, and lead extraction. He is a PhD candidate in the Translational Electrophysiology Unit at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. His research addresses recurrence after hybrid ablation, catheter motion and lesion formation, radiofrequency power, and conduction system pacing. He trained in medicine and cardiology at the University of Naples Federico II and in electrophysiology at OLV Hospital, Aalst, Belgium, with a European Society of Cardiology Clinical Training Grant. In October 2026 he completed a university master's programme in biostatistics at the University of Padua.
