Professor Andreea Varga

Professor Andreea Varga, MD, PhD, FESC, is a full Professor of Medicine at the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Faculty of Medicine in English, and Head of the Discipline of Family Medicine. She is a consultant in cardiology and family medicine, with additional specialization in internal medicine. Her expertise focuses on cardiovascular medicine, particularly pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, and non-invasive imaging. She completed postgraduate training in Heart Failure Management in London. She is actively involved in postgraduate medical education and national healthcare commissions. Her research includes cardiovascular risk stratification, biomarkers, and pulmonary vascular diseases, with publications in peer-reviewed journals. Professor Varga completed postgraduate training in pulmonary vascular diseases at the University of Bologna and Clinical Science Scholars Program coordinated by Harvard Medical School.
