Professor Yael Peled

Dr. Yael Peled is the medical director of the heart transplantation & MCS unit at Sheba Medical Center and a Professor of Cardiology at Tel Aviv University. She is an international leader in heart transplantation and has published in highly reputable journals. Prof. Peled’s exceptional work as a clinician, leader, and researcher has been appropriately recognized by the esteemed ISHLT with multiple leadership positions of increasing prominence. She served as a director on the ISHLT Board of Directors from 2023 to 2026, as the Section Editor for the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and as a member of multiple Task Forces to create Guidelines, Consensus Documents, and Standards Statements. She has led the 2024 Guidelines for the Care of Cardiac Transplant Candidates. She has received numerous honors and awards, including the International Cardiology Professional Community Award for Excellence in 2021, and the prestigious International Honorary Fellow of the HFSA for 2023.
