Professor Joanna Hlebowicz

I am a Consultant and Professor in Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease, Skåne University Hospital, Lund University. I am currently the President of the Swedish Working Group for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD), the scientific secretary and a board member of the Swedish Society of Cardiology. During my clinical work I have focused on working with outpatients at our clinic, performing echocardiograph and ACHD interventions. I am a Principal Investigator at Lunds University. My research work to date has spanned from preclinical to clinical work and has focused on physiological effects of different foods, prevention of cardiovascular disease by changing intake of different foods and change in cardiovascular risk factors. My current research line concerns mostly congenital heart disease with a special focus on cardiovascular risk factors, atherosclerosis, echocardiography, arrhythmias, pregnancy, quality of life and fatigue.
