Nicole Karam is Professor in interventional cardiology and is the Medical Chair of the Medico-Surgical Heart Valve Unit at Georges Pompidou European Hospital (Paris, France). She is also a researcher, holding a PhD in Epidemiology and Statistics, and affiliated to the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM). Her main research fields are 1) Percutaneous Treatment of valvular heart diseases, and 2) Sudden Cardiac Death, and more specifically, the relation between coronary artery disease and Sudden Cardiac Death.
